The Morrisville Veterans Memorial Foundation has decided on the location and orientation of the memorial within the site. It has determined, generally, that the design will consist of either a wall or pillars, as shown in the images below.
The MVMF is pleased to have the volunteer service of Walter Havener, PLA, LEED AP®, President and Director of Design at Surface 678, a landscape-architecture practice headquartered in Durham. Mr. Havener earned a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His projects include the grounds of the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Nasher Museum of Art, the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, and the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. He will advise the MVMF on all phases in the design and construction of the Morrisvile veterans memorial.

Before the design is finalized, the Foundation is soliciting additional input. Are there additional design features or ideas that you would like to see incorporated in the memorial?
Please send your suggestions. Illustrate them, if you wish, with attached drawings and links to sites that show what you describe. Please send them to the email address below.
